Following on the outstanding success over the past few seasons of the CDO Fosters sponsored Premier players individual league the CDO has now decided to feature such a competition for players operating in the first division of the CDO leagues.
The competition will be run along the same lines as the Premier players individual league with a first qualifying night of Friday November 17th, at 8pm sharp that will be played over a round robin format with sixteen players then to emerge from the qualifying night of round robin play.
The sixteen qualifiers will then play-off on the following Friday night, November 24th, at 8.30pm on a knock out basis for a total prize fund of €1,000.
Both nights of the competition will be staged at the Local Lounge on Military Hill.
Entries will be strictly confined to the first paid-up 32 entries received by, or before the closing date of, Tuesday November 7th. With the draw to be made on Tuesday November 7th.
Entry forms for the above competition will be available at the delegate meeting to be held at Quinlan’s on Tuesday October 3rd.
All entries must be accompanied by the entry fee which is €10 per player, no entry will be accepted without the appropriate entry fee, and no entries will be taken over the phone.
Any player who applied and was singularly regraded to the 1st, division from the Super division, cannot enter into this competition, this competition rule will not affect any team players, who wish to enter, that were regraded as a whole team.
A similar competition will be arranged for players operating in the CDO 2nd, and junior divisions in early spring
