Final chance for super sides

Monday night will see the final series of games in the Cork Darts Organisation Fosters sponsored super division and there are no definite qualifiers as yet for an automatic semifinal  spot.

The top two clash tonight at the Tower Bar and with the home side leading the way since day one tonight will be the Tower’s final chance to clinch section honours.

Tower have a total of 34 points and they welcome second placed the Groves 1 who are just two points in arrears of the leaders, but the Joshua Tree are close behind in third spot on 29 points and they will be hoping to take advantage of any slip up that either team may incur.

However it’s not plain sailing for the Joshua Tree in their final game as they also have a task on their hands with a visit from fourth placed the Harp who are on 26 points and they will be wanting to finish higher than the Blarney Street side despite an automatic semifinal spot being unrealistic.

Hennessy’s who also sit on 26 points but are fifth because of the head to head result against the Harp take on the Top of the Hill who are on 19 points, three behind the Maple Leaf who are in the sixth and final qualifying position and they have a very dangerous assignment with a visit away to the Joshua Tree 2.

So all to play for in the Fosters super division final series of games  and the quarterfinals of this competition will be played on Monday next November 27 at the Groves Bar on Dublin Street Blackpool with both semifinals and final at the same venue on Monday  December 4.

Teams should take note of the following dates:

The semifinals and final of the Cork Darts Organisation ladies A division league will be played on this coming Thursday night at the Glenryan Tavern and the next ladies competition will be the A division and B division cups which will commence on Thursday November 30.

The Cork Darts Organisation Fosters first division league quarterfinals will be played at the Glenryan Tavern on Monday December 4 and both semifinals and final will be played at the same venue on Monday December 11.

The Cork Darts Organisation Fosters second division league quarterfinals will be played at the Local on Military Hill on Monday December 4 and both semifinals and final will be played at the same venue on Monday December 11.

The Cork Darts Organisation Fosters junior division semifinals will be played at the River Lane on Monday December 4 and the final will be played at the same venue on Monday December 11.

Final entries will be accepted at Tuesday night’s delegate meeting at the Friars Walk Tavern for the upcoming Fosters cups in all four divisions which will commence on Monday January 8 2018.

The Cork Darts Organisation Fosters men’s new year doubles championship and plate competition will take place on Monday January 1 at St, Vincent’s Hurling and Football club pavilion.
