Teehan making waves nationally after second ranking win

Ciarán receiving his prize after his Galway win at the weekend

It seems like only a very short time ago that I was presenting a winners prize to youth singles championship winner Ciarán Teehan at the annual Cork Darts Organisation New Year Darts Gala and then I check my newsfeed on Sunday morning last and there I see the big fella again as he receives his prize for his first place finish at the INDO ranking weekend of darts in Galway, his second national singles title at still only 19 years.

Ciarán has made huge strides in the past year or so since he emerged from youths darts, the above picture was taken after Ciarán took the October CDO youths singles title at St, Vincent’s in 2014,  and although he may not have as yet stamped his name in darts in respects to having his own name etched on a major trophy locally, my own personal opinion is that when he begins to do so then he certainly will be a tough one to reign-in.

Ciarán is coolness and a picture of perfectionism, if Ciarán scores just three he will return to the oche in the same way as  if he had scored a 180 to leave tops remaining, this is a true sign of concentration and wanting to play and win a game of proper darts.

From all at the Cork Darts Organisation we offer our congratulations to Ciarán for doing Cork and the CDO very proud.
