Fosters super league is the big prize tonight.

The Groves Bar on Dublin Street in Blackpool will tonight play host to the Cork Darts Organisation Fosters sponsored super league semifinals and final.

Both of last weeks quarterfinals were also played at the Groves and the winners, the Joshua Tree and the Groves, over Hennessy’s and the Top of the Hill respectively, now join first seeds the Harp Bar and second seeds the Tower Bar in tonight’s semifinals with the line up as follows, Harp Bar v Joshua Tree and Tower v Groves with the live action to get underway at 8.30pm.

The final series of games in both the first and second division were completed on Monday night last and in the first division and indeed in the second division  only one leg of darts was the difference between teams qualifying and not qualifying for the quarterfinals.

Baker Street confirmed there quarterfinal place with a 4-3 home win against Hennessy’s in the Fosters first division with wins coming from Paul O’Callaghan, Darren Nolan, Jeff Sheehy and Denis Neville.

Also in the Fosters first division Quinlan’s claimed top spot in their section as they accounted for the Island Tavern on a 6-1 scoreline with fine performances from Dylan Murphy, Gordan Hill, Shane Healy, Dave Cassidy, Tomás Healy and Podge O’Brien while the sole winner for Island Tavern was Damien Long.

Blackpool Tavern took top spot in their section over in the Fosters second division after their 5-2 win at home against the Local second squad which now has them awaiting on tonights quarterfinals outcome at the Local.

Blackpool Tavern had winning performances from Paul Leahy, John O’Callaghan, Mark Farrell, Sreve Casey and Brendan Long with wins for the Local coming from Pat Wentz, and Chris Oliver.

The semifinals and finals of both the first and second division leagues will be played on Monday next December 10, the first division at the Glenryan Tavern and the second division at the Local with 8.30pm starts at each of the venues.

The Cork Darts Organisation new year darts gala will this year be played on Sunday December 30 at St, Vincent’s Hurling and Football club pavilion with youths to commence the day at 11am and adult doubles sponsored by Fosters at 4.15pm.

Fixtures for tonight Monday December 3:

Fosters super league’ semifinals and final at the Groves at 8.30pm: Harp Bar v Joshua Tree and Tower Bar v Groves with final to follow.

Fosters first division league quarterfinals  at the Glenryan Tavern at 9.30pm: Gerald Griffin v River Lane and Baker Street v Ma Dullea’s.

Fosters second division league quarterfinals at the Local at 9.30pm. Red Cove Inn v Local 2 and St, Vincent’s v Glenryan Tavern 2.
