Riverstown Inn open cup account with win.

Monday night last saw a resumption of serious competitive action across all four divisions in the Fosters sponsored Cork Darts Organisation cups.

The Riverstown Inn played host to Hennessy’s in the CDO Fosters super cup section one game and it was the home side who came out in front by 4-3 thanks to wins from Eddie Moynihan, Decky Cotter, James O’Sullivan and Vince Moynihan while points for the away side were gathered in by Adam Field, Ken Duke and Colin Walshe.

Groves began their home fixture against the Maple Leaf with a loss as the away team number one on the night Conor Hughes came out ahead of John Harte on a 2-0 scoreline.

However it was all then good for the Groves over the following five games as Dean Meighan, Robert O’Donovan, David O’Donovan, Martin Dineen and Jerry Coughlan all scored wins with the final game of the evening going the way of the Maple Leaf as Gerry Horgan accounted for Blaine Meighan by 2-1.

Top of the Hill travelled to the Local and were quietly pleased as they came away from the Military Hill venue with a 4-3 result.

Winners for the Top of the Hill were Steve Sheehan, Chris O’Rourke, Alan Twomey and Stephen Keating while the wins for the Local came through good performances from William Murphy, George Dunne and Finny O’Brien.

Recently crowned Fosters first division league champions, Quinlan’s, fell to a defeat in their away fixture against Hennessy’s who had good performances from winners Joe Hosford, Billy Dwyer, Tony Noonan and Sean McCarthy while the three points for Quinlan’s came from wins by Dylan Murphy, Podge O’Brien and Sean Healy.

Gallows came away from their local derby clash away to Ma Dullea’s with a hard fought 4-3 victory as wins for them came from Steve Harrington, Tomás Moloney, Niall O’Shea and Will Kennedy, while the three points for Ma Dullea’s came from wins byPatrick RyanAlan Ramsell and Tom Falvey.
