Glenryan Guaranteed spot in league final at Local.

Ciarán Teehan who has been drawn against English player Ross Smith who hails from Dover in the first round of the PDC world championships which will be played between December 13 and January 1 2020. The second round of the event which will have the 32 top seeded players enter the competition has the winner of Teehan’s encounter facing-off against another English player, Mervyn King from Ipswich.

The Glenryan tavern are guaranteed to be in the Cork Darts Orginisation division 2 final as quarter final results set up an all Glenryan tie for the Semis.

Glenryan (2) topped their group which granted them a spot in the semifinal, awaiting the winners of the Glenryan 1 against Redcove and it was the Glenryan team that advanced winning 3-1.

In the other section, Local (2) finished top and left them waiting on the winners of Joshua Tree against Shamrock bar, and it was the Blarney street side that came out with a 3-1 win. Semifinals will take place tonight at the Local bar at 8:30pm where the Local V Joshua tree and Glenryan (2) V Glenryan (1), and the final to follow.

In the Junior league, it was the Gallows and Muskerry arms that were waiting on quarter final results to see who they would face in the Semifinals. The Island Tavern claimed a semifinal place by beating the Fox & Hounds 3-0 and Tower bar beat Jack Fords 3-1. The Semifinal fixtures for tonight are the Gallows V the Tower bar and Muskerry arms V the Island Tavern. These games are down for an 8:30pm start at the Riverlane, and the final to follow.

Super league results from last week saw the Local winning 4-1 against the Gallows, Joshua tree beat Rosies 4-1, Maple leaf won 3-2 against Hennessy’s, the Riverstown Inn beat Ma Dullea’s 3-2, the Groves took a small trek to Quinlans in Blackpool and came out with a 4-1 win, and Top of the hill had a Bye.

Results from Section 1 of the CDO first division are; Residence lost 3-2 to Bakers street and Riverlane beat Aunties 3-2.

In the first division section 2, it’s all very much to play for as the Groves and Carrigaline GAA share top spot with 20 points each where the Groves were 4-1 winners against them last week. The Riverlane are 3rd on 15 points, and all with 1 game left to play out the group stage. The remaining games in that section are Hennessy’s V the Groves and Carrigaline GAA V the Riverlane.

In the CDO Ladies, the Glenryan Tavern will host the Ladies A semis and finals on Thursday night with an 8:30pm start. Ma Dullea’s V the Local and Horgan’s V the Joshua tree with the final to follow.  In the Ladies B, the semis and finals will take place at Ma Dullea’s, again with an 8:30pm start. Redcove V the Gallows and Glenryan (2) V Ma Dullea’s, followed by the final.

Delegate meeting tomorrow night will be at the Joshua tree at 8:30pm. Team registration and fees for the next competition will be accepted.
