Rosies of Carrigaline are to face the Riverstown Inn, while Hennessy’s play Top of the Hill. Both games are down for a 9:30pm start. The Groves (1) and the Joshua tree (1) wait on results from these games to see who they will face in the semi-finals next week.

The Glenryan Tavern will host the 1st division quarter finals at 9:30pm also on Monday night and it’s the Riverlane (1) to play the Residence while Riverlane (2) play Carrigaline GAA.  The Groves (2) and Bakers Street will play the winners of those games in the semi-finals next week.

The first tournament of ladies A & B divisions concluded recently with semifinals and finals played at the Glenryan Tavern and Ma Dullea’s.

In the A division semi-finals, Ma Dullea’s beat the Local 3-1 and Horgan’s beat the Joshua tree 3-2.

In the final, Rita Hannigan got Ma Dullea’s off the mark by beating Horgan’s’ Nula Madden 2-1, but Noreen O’Brien levelled the game with a 2-0 win over Kayla Connolly. Ma’s took the lead again with Kathryn Hewitt beating Jo Mackle 2-1, but Eileen O’Neill got the better of Ashling Coomey and brought the contest to a tie.  The 5th and deciding game saw Kathleen Doyle for Ma Dullea’s against Sadie Hurley for Horgan’s.  The score was 1-1 after the first 2 legs and a deciding leg got underway. It was neck and neck all the way down to the double and it was Ma Dullea’s Kathleen Doyle that was first to check out. The lady of the match was awarded to Rita Hannigan of Ma Dullea’s.

In the ladies B division, the semifinal results were; Glenryan 3 Ma Dullea’s 2 and Redcove 3 Gallows 1. In the final, the Glenryan were 2-0 up with wins from Alice Landy and Alison Goulding but the Redcove were soon level with wins from Gillian Heagerty and Rosaire Callnan. Down to the deciding game and it was Lynda Lynch for the Redcove to play Hannah Shinkwin for the Glenryan. This game was brought to a deciding leg and it was Hannah that was first to hit the wining double and claimed the first trophy of the season for the Glenryan.  Hannah was also awarded Lady of the match.
