Still all to play for in Fosters cups

It’s the penultimate week in the Cork Darts Orginisation Super and 1st Division leagues, and it’s still all to play for, as no one-team is running away in any section. The results from last Monday’s games in the super division saw the Cow bar beat Riverstown Inn 3-2, Top of the Hill lose 3-2 to Rosies, Joshua Tree (1) win 4-1 against Ma Dullea’s, Maple Leaf lost away to the Local 3-2, Groves won 5-0 at home to the Gallows and Joshua Tree (2) won 3-2 away to Quinlans.

In division 1, Residence 2-3 Groves, Riverlane (1) 3-2 Hennessy’s, Aunties 2-3 Carrigaline GAA, Riverstown Inn 2-3 Old Reliable, Bakers Street 4-1 Riverlane (2) and Hannah Bawns had a bye.

In Division 2, St. Vincent’s 3-2 Local, Glenryan (2) 3-2 Red Cove, Joshua Tree 1-4 Shamrock and Gallows 3-2 Glenryan (1).

The Junior section saw the Island Tavern win 3-2 against the River lane, Ma Dullea’s 1-4 Jack Fords, Muskerry Arms 4-1 Residence and the Fox & Hounds win 5-0 away to the Tower Bar. Dylan Twomey was first in for the Fox & Hounds against Jason O’Flynn and is was Twomey that won 2-0. Next up was Paul O’Sullivan for the tower facing Brian Wall. O’Sullivan went 1 up but Wall brought it back to 1-1 to force a deciding leg, and it was Wall that was first to hit the winning double making it 2-0 to the away side. Gary Dowling was in next for the foxes against Con Buckley and Dowling won that 2-0.  Jason Irwin beat Sean Murphy 2-1 in the fourth and Kieran O’Callaghan got the better of Dean Murphy in the last to claim all 5 points for the Fox & Hounds.
